Valve Information:

The working principle of the relief valve is to control the pressure and flow of the hydraulic system by adjusting the position of the spool. When the pressure of the hydraulic system reaches the set value, the overflow valve will open, and the excess hydraulic oil will flow back to the oil tank to maintain the stability of the hydraulic system. The relief valve can also be used to control the speed and force of the hydraulic cylinder during excavator operation. By adjusting the flow of the overflow valve, the hydraulic cylinder can be moved slowly or quickly to meet the needs of different working situations.

Q: Where is the pressure relief valve diesel?
A:Pressure relief valves are always located upstream of a diesel, electric or even jockey pump check valves. This prevents a relief valve from affecting the enter system if it fails open.

Q:How do you set a relief valve?

A: By turning the adjustment screw counterclockwise until the pressure gauge is below the desired setting, you will loosen the jam nut and reduce the spring tension. You will then need to retighten the adjustment screw tension by turning the adjustment screw clockwise to the desired setting.

Q:How do you know if a hydraulic pressure relief valve is bad?
A: If a pressure relief valve experiences failure, is releasing pressure before a system reaches maximum pressure, or is constantly leaking or chattering, it's always best to assume that there's something wrong with the system.
